TITANICLifebelts

There are only fourteen remaining Titanic lifebelts known to exist. My reproduction represents the ones donned by passengers of the Titanic.

In June 2023, I had the opportunity to inspect and improve the restoration of Ken Marschall's original Fosbery lifebelt. I took detailed measurements that I applied to my replicas. With my experience handling an authentic lifebelt, I can offer you an accurate and affordable replica, assembled in the same manner as the originals. 

I also provide an ink-stamped version. Lifebelts without ink markings may have faded over time or may never have been stamped by Fosbery & Co. These ink markings are present on the lifebelts of Cosmo Duff-Gordon and Mabel Francatelli. Additionally, a lifebelt recovered by Dr. Frank Blackmarr, a passenger on the RMS Carpathia, displays these markings. Ken Marschall's "half-belt" also features the same markings. 

The Titanic did not have lifebelts designed specifically for children, so I created a scaled-down version of the original for kids to experience.  These lifebelts are perfect for kids wearing youth sizes S, M, or L. 

An all-cotton canvas lifebelt is available as a cost-effective alternative. Although the material differs from the 1912 version, this lifebelt is crafted using the same design and dimensions as the original. The ink stamps applied are the same as the original as well. 

The lifebelt featured in the 1997 TITANIC movie differs significantly from the original. While it isn’t historically accurate due to the size of modern actors, I used detailed measurements from the original prop to create my replica. Crafted with the same materials and specifications, it is instantly recognizable from the film. 

I produce these replicas in limited quantities.
